ILLUSTRATIONS.

This booklet contains several illustrations of typical village scenes ('The Dale', 'Lovers Leap', &c.), but unfortunately they did not copy well to the facsimile version, so reproduction is not possible here. There are also three sketches, and some adverts. Of the former, Denis Ragg's Trader's Token is displayed as it appears in the text on Chapter XVI, page 34; the line drawings below are opposite page 50 and page 51. The Adverts are reproduced on a separate web page.
